Devices like cell phones, PDAs and notebooks all represent mobility and they offer the capacity to store volumes of information in a tiny device. Gadgets also provide many men with a sense of power and status, which feeds their ego. Just like a large SUV, a super fast internet connection and having the latest and coolest gadgets are all considered status symbols and demonstrations of prowess.
